Challenge: Each year All About Omaha, a non-profit group of young professionals, holds an annual fundraiser to benefit a local overlooked and underfunded non-profit. The Torchlight Ball is AAO’s signature event. Every year the goal is to be bigger and better than the year before.
Design Solution: The look and feel of the invitation design and illustration combine the Torchlight Ball theme with that of this year’s beneficiary, MOSAIC. The website was integral to keeping guests informed and allowed them to purchase event tickets online.
Results: The event was a great success, due to the hard work of about 20 outstanding volunteers. Attending guests numbered 240, way up from the last two years average of 150-160. Best of all, we met our fundraising goal of $15,000 to give to MOSAIC.
I also got a few leads from people wanting to know who the designer was. And even a coffee date with a charming photographer. Too bad she has “a couple of boyfriends.” Sigh.
