My Services: Logo Design, Business Card Design, Website Design (can you tell?)
Challenge: With my business card and website design, I sought to clearly present information, but also have an energetic design with a visual depth. With all the noise pollution and distractions in life, balance and clarity are very important to me in delivering a message. Another challenge is that people in the general public and the business world have a limited or hazy understanding of exactly what a graphic designer is or does.
Solution: I have a 3-color design and use gradients to achieve a full-color look. My services listing is shaped to integrate with the design and be as unobtrusive as possible. I didnt include my address since I work from home and, being omnipresent, have full command of the space-time continuum.
Results: My business card design is here for as another example of how to unify branding between a website and printed piece. My only concern with the business card is the logo size. Graphic designers often prefer a smaller logo design so that it doesnt overpower the viewer. (Plus minimalism is real highbrow design these days.) But its a struggle to fit my ego into a 2" x 3.5" business card design. Any attempt to reduce its size just balloons it even more.
