My Services: Website Design, Logo Design, Business Card Design, Brochure Design, Signage Design
Challenge: Sell Smart Auctions (Omaha, Nebraska) is a start-up eBay drop-off store. After designing Sell Smarts logo and business cards, I created a full-color tri-fold store brochure. Mike Hoffman, Sell Smarts founder and owner supplied the text copy and photos while I tried to make it all fit and still look nice.
Design Solution: The brochures design unifies with the business cards and website. The text content contains information predicted to be important to new customers: How the Process Works, Fees, Examples of What Sells, and Service Levels. Plus a map along with the store hours and contact info. And in case you missed it, four, one-two-three-four, count em four Sell Smart logos. Graphic designers might think we went overboard but to people getting to know a brand new store concept the repetition works well.
Results: Two weeks after opening Sell Smart, owner Mike Hoffman became a really busy guy. People came in, chatted with Mike, took a business card and brochure, came back with stuff to sell on eBay. WOWT Channel 6 called out of the blue to interview Mike and feature his store on the news. Within 6 months of opening, Mike hired three employees, ran out of storage space, and has hundreds of satisfied buyers and sellers. Sell Smarts website averages 2,000 visitors per month.
Is all of this due to my full array of design super-powers? Of course, what the heck do you think?!
