Freelance Graphic Designer Robert Jordan

I know you find this logo design hypnotic, but as soon as you snap out of your ataraxia, contact Enhance Design for your own custom designed logo.

Enhance Design is the studio of freelance graphic designer Robert Jordan. I offer graphic design services to start-ups, small businesses, large corporations and companies, design firms, creative studios and advertising agencies nationwide. Headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska, I have imaginary offices in San Diego, California, Maui and Honolulu, Hawaii.

Hopefully you’re here because you’re looking for a professional graphic designer who:

• Has the savvy, creativity, experience, talent and passion to design an outstanding logo and business card to enhance your company’s business image.

• Won’t settle for “nice” or “good” or “good enough” (your company doesn’t value being 2nd-best in your business, right?) - but the best design work that can be done with the time and budget allowed.

• Believes great design work is mainly about getting clients results and return on investment - not just design awards.

• Listens to customers to understand their company’s business needs - and cares about their needs.

• Can take blunt criticism like a professional to get to the next level. I also take compliments very well, thank you.

• Uses his left brain as much as his right. A great combination for a company looking for a designer with practical business sense as much as graphic design and creative skill.

• Has a sense of humor and is fun to work with - because all business and no play is no fun. But don’t worry, I know when business means business. And I’m serious about great design.

• Loves a challenge - because easy wins are boring. In what industry does your company do business? Have no fear, I have the versatility and vision to communicate your business and company image to the right audience.

Graphic Design Professional Since 1999

Born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, I studied Creative Writing at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA. After three years, I returned to Omaha to pursue my more passionate interest, graphic design, at The Creative Center. Upon graduation in 1999, I burst onto the Omaha design scene with a cannonball splash at Studio 23 of Omaha (which is no more). In 2001, I took a job as a website designer for Omaha-based Affinitas Corporation. But within a year, I could no longer contain my desire to venture on my own and boldly live the swashbuckling life of a freelance graphic designer and heart-throb. April 18, 2005 is the official third anniversary of Enhance Design. And so I continue making my way, the only way I know how, but that’s just a little bit more than the law will allow

My Grandiose Mission

Enhance Design. It’s that simple. “Enhance” means “to improve, make better, more attractive, intensify, raise, boost, add to.” I seek to achieve this through using both my creative artistic side with my analytical and rational side.

Graphic Design and Creative Services

Of course as a graphic designer I stand for enhancing website designs, logos, business card and letterhead designs, to be more attractive, unique, useful, informative, and memorable.

But a main reason I decided to freelance full-time is to have closer contact with and better understanding of my clients. While there are many wonderful aspects of working for a design firm, I never liked the extra layer of account executive between the designer and the client. Sometimes just getting a simple answer became complicated.

Now that I’m a design-staff-in-one, my clients and I get our answers straight from each other. This means more clarity, more honesty, more trust, more friendship, and more results.

As a designer, I create. My clients and I connect and interact to get the results for which we’re looking. Definitely enhancement for everyone.

About This Website

My guess is that on a daily basis, you are required to wade through an endless bog of dull, dry, stilted, corporate material (this includes sitting through meetings and PowerPoint presentations). If you’re taking the time to read the text on my website, I hope you’re having a few laughs - maybe even some flat out guffaws. Just don’t get in trouble by having too much fun at work. Despite my sense of humor, I’m fully able to have a serious conversation about getting successful business results through enhancing marketing communications, brands and corporate identities.

How I Work With Clients Nationwide

Thanks to the combination of websites, e-mail, and free long-distance phone service, it’s easy for me to work with clients nationwide. If you work in a large corporation with offices in multiple cities and states, you know that instant connectivity to collaborate on projects exists. As a freelance graphic designer, my pricing is most likely more affordable than professional agencies in Chicago, Houston, Phoenix, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Orlando, and on par with agencies in smaller markets and mid-size cities. You can find a bargain-basement designer anywhere, but as with anything you get what you pay for. Whether your budget is $250, 500, $1,000, or $2,000 + I have pricing options for logo design, business card design, website design and brochure design to fit your needs. I use PayPal’s online payment service to accept credit cards.

My services are listed in separate sections and include a portfolio of design samples (along with plenty of self-aggrandizing puffery regarding my perceptive insight and talents.) If you’re price shopping, my rates are so high you’ll need binoculars and a jet-pack to see them. Actually, I’m pretty reasonable - quite a bit less than a pretentious design boutique but quite a bit more than a desperate sell-out. If you value excellent creative with business savvy, we’ll be able to work together. So take a look at my work then get in touch. Looking forward to it.
